Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has lifted the spirit of many Blackstars supporters as he pledges a win for the team ahead of the clash against Sierra Leone in their upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
Gyan said his team is poised on clinching victory to put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians following their disheartening 1-0 defeat to the Harambee Stars of Kenya last month.
The former liberty professional striker was left out of coach Kwesi Appiah’s 23 man squad that failed to hit the back of the net after creating 13 chances which subsequently led to their defeat to Kenya.
“We just got back this afternoon so we just needed to do some shakeup exercises but we didn’t do much but most of the guys are playing outside so it won’t affect our game,” he told the media after training.
”We make sure we come back quickly because we lost our last game and everybody was disappointed and we are here to make the fans happy.”
